How I Joined Realtopia Real Estate

     My first big decision when getting my real estate license was choosing my brokerage. When I was choosing brokerages to interview, I had a list of some of the big brokerages to call. I had no intentions of going with a smaller brokerage, because I wanted to make sure I got all of the training, mentoring, and tools I needed. I didn't think I could get this from a smaller brokerage.

     Someone had mentioned Realtopia Real Estate. I recognized the name from when my boyfriend and I purchased our home. It was listed by a Realtopia agent, and she actually showed us the home because our agent was unavailable the day we wanted to see it. Later I actually found out the agent was one of Realtopia's managing broker. I figured why not add them to the list.

     I started with an interview with Coldwell Banker. They didn't check every box on my list, but they checked enough to make me think I was going to choose them. Then I got on the call with Realtopia's managing broker. I had my list of questions in front of me. As she talked she answered every single one of my questions without me even asking, almost in order as if she could see my notebook, and answered them with the exact answer I was looking for. Realtopia checked all of the boxes and honestly seemed too good to be true.

     I decided I would try it out, but I was afraid that I would not get adequate training. To my surprise, Realtopia's training was amazing! Not only were there new trainings often, but there was also an agent site with all of the old trainings on demand for viewing at any time. The top 3 things I was looking for in a brokerage were culture, education/training, and technology/tools. Realtopia exceeded everything I could have hoped for in not only these 3 categories, but really every category that you consider when choosing a real estate brokerage.

     When choosing a brokerage, everyone says to make a list of what you're looking for and choose the brokerage that checks off the most boxes. I never expected to find a brokerage that checked every box. I was also so impressed with the warm welcome I received from everyone. It is hard to walk into a room full of people you don't know, but the managing broker met me at the door so I didn't have to walk in alone, and the kind acceptance of all of the agents made Realtopia feel like home. I definitely credit my success as a real estate agent to Realtopia. Anytime I've felt lost or had questions, my managing brokers were just a call or text away. The training is so great and I am always learning something new. All of the agents are so helpful and friendly. I love working in the office because it is so cute and comfortable. Realtopia does so many fun events and activities. We do frequent happy hours and parties. They have a game board in the office with prizes as agent's close deals. I am so grateful to be a part of such an incredible brokerage filled with so many incredible people. I cannot imagine myself with any other brokerage.
